The NaviCloud physical environment is an ever-evolving platform comprised of numerous different hardware, software, and firmware components. In any given month, one or more of the components undergoes upgrades. Navisite maintains the ongoing tracking of all components of the cloud physical environment and performs all necessary and advantageous upgrades in a timely manner. NaviCloud customers realize the benefits of such technical expertise and service without having to focus on the details.

Navisite maintains and evolves the cloud physical environment within an architecture that has been designed to meet service provider requirements for isolation and uptime, but which may not necessarily be the way a customer may choose to build it themselves -- due to the differing requirements.

Navisite is able to provide a high SLA to NaviCloud customers, but at the cost of some transparency to specific data regarding the components used to enforce that SLA. For the dedicated environments we build, we are able to share more details about the underlying hardware/software/firmware stack since the customer is directly impacted by those choices. Customer visibility into such details is not as relevant in the context of a shared platform.
