Proximity – Viewing Your Invoices, Bandwidth Usage, and Azure Usage

Proximity provides full access to your…
  • invoices, including credits.

  • bandwidth usage metrics, including commit rates.

  • monthly Azure usage, if applicable, including a breakdown of all Azure billing details.
Click Billing in the left navigation pane to view the Billing page, which provides tabs for Invoices, Bandwidth Usage, and Azure Usage:

Viewing Your Invoices

Select the "Billing" tab to view a list of your invoices, initially listed in descending date order.


  • Click the table’s column headers to sort the invoice list by Date, billed Business Unit, Invoice Number, or billed Amount.

  • To perform a real-time search on your invoice list, enter the desired search terms in the "Search" field above the list. Proximity automatically filters the displayed list based on your entered search terms. You can search and filter your list based on any of the displayed column values in the list.

  • Click a line item’s View Invoice or View Credit button to open a PDF of the invoice or credit in a separate browser tab.
Note: Permission to view invoices via Proximity is granted to you by your Proximity Administrator and is configured via a permission setting in your User Profile.

Note: Proximity displays PDF invoices via a pop-up window. If you have pop-ups blocked in the browser you are using with Proximity, the PDF will not appear until you unblock the pop-up (which then allows pop-ups to always be displayed while using Proximity).

Viewing Your Bandwidth Usage

Select the "Bandwidth Usage" tab to display bar graphs depicting bandwidth metrics per sales order.


  • Hover your mouse cursor over the graph bars to view 95th Percentile bandwidth usage and Commit Rate values for a given month.

  • To download a comma-separated value (CSV) file of the displayed graph data, click the Download CSV icon above the graph.

  • To add or remove graph data, click the corresponding legend entry below the graph.

  • Click a graph bar to view a detailed graph for the selected month, including 95th Percentile bandwidth usage, Commit Rate values, inbound and outbound bits per second, and a list of billable ports.

  • Hover your mouse cursor over points on the graph lines to view 95th Percentile bandwidth usage, Commit Rate values for the selected month, Inbound Bits per second, and Outbound Bits per second.

  • To add or remove graph data, click the corresponding legend entry below the graph.

  • Billable ports for the selected month are listed below the graph.

  • To download a comma-separated value (CSV) file of the displayed graph data, click the Download CSV icon above the graph.

Viewing Your Azure Usage

If applicable, select the "Azure Usage" tab to display a breakdown of your Azure billing item details.


  • To perform a real-time search on your Azure billing items, enter the desired search terms in the "Search" field above the list. Proximity automatically filters the displayed list based on your entered search terms. You can search and filter your list based on any of the displayed column values in the list.

  • To change the displayed order of your Azure billing items according to a particular column value, click the up/down arrow icons to the right of the desired column header.

  • To filter your Azure billing item list to include or exclude items with a particular column value, click the Filter icon to the left of the desired column header. In the resulting pop-up window, select/deselect the column value checkboxes as desired.



  • To display or hide columns in your list, click the Select Table Columns icon above the list. The Select Table Columns pop-up window appears.



    Click to select or deselect the desired table column names for the displayed list, and click SET COLUMNS to change the list display.

  • To download your displayed list as a comma-separated value (CSV) file, click the Download CSV icon above the list. The CSV file contains the list data as it is currently displayed in the list (i.e., any search and filter operations performed on the list are reflected in the downloaded file).

  • Click a list entry to view the Azure Usage Details page for the selected billing item.

The Azure Usage Details page provides the following information for the selected Azure billing item:
  • Date
  • Business Unit
  • Category
  • Meter
  • Service Tag
  • Amount
  • Units
  • Subscription
The "Usage Breakdown" table provides itemized details for the Azure billing item, including:
  • Name
  • Type
  • Resource Group
  • Amount
  • Units
  • By default, the list displays information for all resource groups included in the billing item. To filter your list according to a particular resource group, click the drop-down list above the table and select the desired resource group from the list.

  • To perform a real-time search on your Azure billing breakdown list, enter the desired search terms in the "Search" field above the list. Proximity automatically filters the displayed list based on your entered search terms. You can search and filter your list based on any of the displayed column values in the list.

  • Click the table’s column headers to sort the list by Name, item Type, Resource Group, billed Amount, or billed Units.

  • To display or hide columns in your list, click the Select Table Columns icon above the list. The Select Table Columns pop-up window appears.



    Click to select or deselect the desired table column names for the displayed list, and click SET COLUMNS to change the list display.

  • To download your displayed list as a comma-separated value (CSV) file, click the Download CSV icon above the list. The CSV file contains the list data as it is currently displayed in the list (i.e., any search and filter operations performed on the list are reflected in the downloaded file).
