NCD – How do I edit NAT properties?

The general properties of a network’s NAT can be configured, including enabling/disabling, changing type, and some rule operations.  From the network's detail page, click the gear icon corresponding to the NAT section heading.  The system displays the NAT Rules list, from which you can invoke forms to Enable/Disable, Add, Edit, or Delete NAT rules.

NOTE: NAT options differ between vDC and vApp networks:

vDC Networks

The system displays NAT data in a form with the option to enabled/disable the NAT service. A NAT Rules list displays Individual NAT rules. You can add, delete, enable/disable, and reorder* NAT rules from this form. You can perform more advanced NAT rule editing by clicking on the gear icon of an individual rule.

* The order of the rules is important because if two rules conflict, the first rule takes precedence.

vApp Networks

The system displays NAT data in a form with the option to enable/disable the NAT service and to specify translation type. A NAT Rules list displays individual NAT rules. You can add and delete NAT rules from this form. You can perform more advanced NAT rule editing by clicking the gear icon corresponding to an individual rule. You can perform server-related editing associated with a NAT rule by clicking on the VM interface name of the individual rule.
